Cam-shafts and regulators клапанного a backlash

  1. Check up engine oil.

  2. If oil level low, add oil to a mark of full refuelling on oil щупе.

  3. If colour of oil has changed or quality of oil has worsened, replace it. Address to Section the Engine in the Head Maintenance service and greasing to receive recommendations about use of certain type of oil.

  4. If leak is found out, eliminate it.
  5. If pressure does not correspond to norm, lead to its norm.
  6. Include the engine on half an hour with a speed 2000 – 3000 turns in a minute, and then air will be blown, and the sound постукивания to stop.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative cable from the accumulator.
  2. Merge engine oil.
  3. Merge antifreeze.
  4. Remove маслосборник and a grid of the oil pump, having addressed to Razdelu Maslosbornik and a grid of the oil pump in this Chapter.
  5. Uncover cylinder heads, having addressed to Section the Cover of a head of the cylinder in this Chapter.
  6. Uncover synchronisation chains, having addressed to Section the Cover of a chain of synchronisation in this Chapter.
  7. Remove the second chain of synchronisation, having addressed to Section the Second chain of synchronisation and натяжитель chains in this Chapter.
  8. Remove the gauge of position of a cam-shaft, having addressed to the Head System of ignition for engine J20.
  1. After will remove the second chain of synchronisation, establish a key on коленвале, having turned коленвал. It it is necessary to prevent gearing between valves and the piston.
  1. Untwist bolts картера a cam-shaft in that order as it is specified in drawing, and take out them.
  1. Remove картеры a cam-shaft.
  2. Remove cam-shafts.
  3. Remove regulators клапанного a backlash (2).
  • Never assort a hydraulic regulator клапанного a backlash.
  • Do not press on the regulator case, the oil which is in the chamber under a high pressure, will follow.
  • Lower the taken out regulator in pure engine oil (1) and store it there until will establish it repeatedly to prevent oil leak. If you leave it on air, put it in it ковшеобразном the case a face sheet downwards. Do not put it sideways or in ковшеобразном the case a face sheet upwards.

And — do not apply force.

Deterioration of a cam-shaft

Put a cam-shaft between two V-shaped blocks, and measure its deterioration with the help циферблатного the indicator. If the measured deterioration exceeds specified below norm, replace a cam-shaft. Deterioration of a cam-shaft: a limit: 0.10 mm (0.0039 inches).

  1. Check up necks of a cam-shaft and картеры a cam-shaft on a subject изъязвления, scratches, deterioration or damage. If any malfunctions are found, replace a cam-shaft or a head of the cylinder with картером. Never replace a head of the cylinder without replacement картеров.
  1. Check up a backlash by means of a plaster solution. It becomes as follows.

    • Be convinced of that all regulators клапанного a backlash are removed and establish a cam-shaft on a cylinder head.
    • Put a part of a plaster solution for full width of a neck of a cam-shaft (in parallel a cam-shaft).

    • Twirl bolts картера a cam-shaft in the small portions while they will not be fastened with the specified rotating moment. The rotating moment of an inhaling: the Bolt картера a cam-shaft () — 11 Н•м (1.1 kg th, 8.0 pound on foot).

Do not rotate a cam-shaft with a plaster solution inside.


  1. Remove картер and by means of a ruler (2) on a surface of a plaster solution (1) measure width of a plaster solution in the widest place.
    • Backlash of a neck of a cam-shaft:
      • Norm: 0.045 – 0.099 mm (0.0018 – 0.0038 inches)
      • Limit: 0.12 mm (0.0047 inches)
  1. If the measured backlash of a neck of a cam-shaft falls outside the limits norm, measure internal diameter of a neck and external diameter of a neck of a cam-shaft. Replace a cam-shaft or knot of a head of the cylinder, depending on where the deviation from technical characteristics is more.
  • Internal diameter of a neck of a cam-shaft (on an admission and on release)
    • Norm: 26.000 – 26.033 (1.0237 – 1.0249 inches)
  • External diameter of a neck of a cam-shaft (on an admission and on release)
    • Norm: 25.934 – 25.955 (1.0211 – 1.0218 inches)

Deterioration of a hydraulic regulator клапанного a backlash

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check up a regulator on presence изъязвлений, scratches or damage. If any defect is found out, replace it.
  1. Measure internal diameter of a head of the cylinder and external diameter of a regulator to define a backlash between a head of the cylinder and a regulator. If the backlash exceeds norm limits, replace a regulator or a cylinder head.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Before to establish a regulator клапанного a backlash on a head of the cylinder (1), fill a lubricant flute of a head of the cylinder with engine oil according to the following procedure.
  1. Fill in engine oil through oil apertures (2) and check up, that oil followed from oil apertures by a sliding part of a regulator клапанных backlashes. Check on the inlet and final parties.
  1. Establish regulators клапанных backlashes on a cylinder head. Put engine oil round a regulator клапанного a backlash and then establish it on a cylinder head.
  1. Compare a key (1) on коленвале with a mark of synchronisation (2).
  1. Establish cam-shafts.
  2. Oil sliding surfaces of each cam-shaft and cam-shaft necks, then establish them, having compared marks of conformity in a head of the cylinder and pins on cam-shafts.

Establish a cam-shaft in such direction that its end with a groove for the gauge of position of a cam-shaft left on the release party.

  1. Establish pins картера a cam-shaft (3).
  2. Put hermetic "And" on a condensed surface картера a camshaft of final valves (2). "And": hermetic 99000-31250.

  1. Check up position картеров a cam-shaft.
  2. On everyone картере there are the printed marks specifying in position and a direction for installation. Establish картеры as it is specified by these marks.

  1. Having oiled bolts картеров, twirl them at first temporarily. Then fasten them one after another. Twist bolts gradually and in regular intervals, and repeat sequence of a twisting three or four times before they will be fastened to the specified rotating moment of an inhaling. The rotating moment of an inhaling: a bolt картера a cam-shaft (): 11 Н•м (1.1 kg th, 8.0 pound on foot).

  1. Establish the gauge of position of a cam-shaft, having addressed to the Head System of ignition for engine J20.
  2. Establish the second chain of synchronisation, having addressed to Section the Second chain of synchronisation and натяжитель chains in this Chapter.
  3. Establish a cover of a chain of synchronisation, having addressed to Section the Cover of a chain of synchronisation in this Chapter.
  4. Establish a cover of a head of the cylinder, having addressed to Section the Cover of a head of the cylinder in this Chapter.
  5. Establish маслосборник and a grid of the oil pump, having addressed to Razdelu Maslosbornik and a grid of the oil pump in this Chapter.
  6. Establish system of cooling and other parts.
  7. Fill in system of cooling with antifreeze, forward differential трансмиссионным oil, the engine engine oil and system of a steering with strengthening by a special liquid.
  8. Check up, whether there is no leak of the antifreeze, a special liquid for system of a steering, leak of exhaust gas and engine oil on each connection.
  9. Check up installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition and if it is necessary adjust, having addressed to Section Check and adjustment of time of an advancing of ignition in the Head System of ignition for engine J20.
