The name of colour of a wire is reduced to three or five letters from the name of each colour.

In the car are used раскраска wires of two types. The first is an one-colour wire, and the second is a two-coloured (striped) wire. For a designation of an one-colour wire one colour symbol (for example «GRN») is used only. For a designation of a two-coloured wire two colour symbols (for example «GRN/YEL») are used. The first symbol designates primary colour of a wire («GRN» in the previous example), and the second symbol designates colour of strips («YEL» on the previous example).
