The module of management of an immobilizer and modules ECM/PCM find out malfunctions which can arise on the site including following parts at included ignition.

Modules ECM/PCM:

  • Code of the ECM/module of management of an immobilizer
  • Consecutive chain of data transmission
  • ECM/PCM

The module of management of an immobilizer:

Vehicle with a diagnostic socket

At not earthed plug of the switch of a diagnostic socket for ECM/PCM and the included ignition (but at the stopped engine) and irrespective of a condition of electronic system of injection of fuel, the lamp of the indicator of malfunctions blinks, if ECM/PCM defines malfunctions in a control system of an immobilizer.

The lamp of the indicator of malfunctions burns: malfunctions in a control system of an immobilizer are not found out.

The lamp of the indicator of malfunctions blinks: modules ECM/PCM or the module of management of an immobilizer have revealed malfunctions in a control system of an immobilizer.


As soon as ignition joins, modules ECM/PCM and the module of management of an immobilizer reveal presence of malfunctions in a control system of an immobilizer. After end of diagnostics the lamp of the indicator of malfunctions continues to burn. If diagnostics reveals any infringements (result “abnormal”) the lamp starts to blink at once. And if diagnostics does not reveal malfunctions (result “normal”) the lamp continues to burn. For given diagnostics the maximum of 3 seconds is required.

At the included ignition (but at the stopped engine), irrespective of a condition of electronic system of injection of fuel, the lamp of the indicator of malfunctions blinks, if ECM/PCM defines malfunctions in a control system of an immobilizer.

The lamp of the indicator of an immobilizer burns: in a control system of an immobilizer it is not revealed malfunctions.

The lamp of the indicator of an immobilizer blinks: modules ECM/PCM or the module of management of an immobilizer have revealed malfunctions in a control system of an immobilizer.
