Liquid level

Level check at normal working temperature

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Stop the car out of the blue.
  2. Put on a lay brake and put under wheels "boots".
  3. With the lever of a choice of transfer in position «P» start the engine.
  4. Warm up the engine while the temperature of a liquid will not reach normal working temperature (70 – 80 ° C/158 – 176°F). As the instruction on check of temperature of a liquid, warm up the engine until the counter of temperature of a cooling liquid of the engine will not show approximately «1» above a point "With".
  5. Leave the engine to idle and slowly switch the lever of transfers to position “L” and back in position “P”.
  6. At engine work idling pull out oil щуп, wipe its slice of a pure fabric and return into place.

  1. Again take out oil щуп and check up on it liquid level. It should be between marks «COMPLETELY HEATED-UP» and "not HEATED-UP". If it below a mark "not HEATED-UP", add analogue DEXRON - III to level «COMPLETELY HEATED-UP».

  • DO NOT FORCE the ENGINE to WORK ON LIMITING ОБОРТАХ at check of level of a liquid, even after engine start.
  • DO NOT FILL in it is TOO MUCH. It can result in formation of foam and liquid loss through сапун that as a result can lead соскальзыванию and to malfunctions of work of an automatic transmission.
  • To finish level of a liquid from a mark "not HEATED-UP" to a mark «COMPLETELY HEATED-UP» 0.3 litres (0.64/0.53 SSHA/lmp is required. Pints).
  • If the car moved with the big loading (for example, with the trailer), liquid level should be checked approximately in half an hour after its stop.

Level check at a room temperature

Check of level of a liquid at a room temperature, spent after repair or liquid replacement before a verifying trip (test drive), represents preparation for level check at normal working temperature. Procedure check same as it is described above. If liquid level is between marks «COMPLETELY COLD» and «BOTTOM COLD», pass to test drive. And when the temperature will reach level of normal working temperature, again check up level of a liquid and adjust, if it is necessary.
