Check of work of the brake amplifier

There are two ways of performance of this survey, with a tester and without it. It is usually possible to define approximately a condition without tester use.

For carrying out of the given check, be convinced that in a hydraulic highway there is no air.

  1. Start the engine.
  2. Stop the engine after it will work 1-2 minutes.
  3. Press some times the brake lever with that effort, as at usual braking and pay attention to a pedal course. If the pedal the first аз leaves deeply, but its course decreases at the second and the subsequent pressing, necessary degree of air impermeability is reached.

  1. If the pedal course does not vary, necessary degree of air impermeability, is not reached.

In case of malfunction, examine vacuum lines of consolidation and replace any faulty elements.

Work check


  1. When the engine is stopped, some times press the brake lever with the same effort and be convinced that the pedal course does not vary.
  2. Start the engine, having pressed the brake lever. If the course of a pedal increases a little, the brake works normally. If the pedal course does not vary, it testifies to malfunction.

Air impermeability check under loading


  1. When the engine works, press the brake lever. Then stop the engine, keeping the brake lever the pressed.

  1. Keep the brake lever pressed during 30 seconds. If the pedal height does not vary, a condition of a brake the good. But if the pedal rises, a condition of a brake the bad.
